About Puslinch Township
The Township of Puslinch is located directly south of the City of Guelph, Ontario and covers the southern part of the County of Wellington. Puslinch is located east of the City of Cambridge, with the 401 Highway bisecting the Township from east to west. So if you have ever driven on the 401 between Toronto and Kitchener--you have gone through Puslinch.
Puslinch Township is predominantly rural, but a Statistical Profile of Puslinch shows that the residents enjoy an average income significantly higher than the rest of Ontario.
Puslinch Township was named after the English Home of Elizabeth Yonge, wife of Sir John Colborne, the Lieutenant Governer of Upper Canada, 1828-35. Puslinch Manor lies just outside the village of Yealmpton (the spelling is correct, but I can't imagine how it's pronounced) on the outskirts of Plymouth, England.
Puslinch was incorporated as a Township on January 1, 1850, and celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2000.
Here is an area map of The Township of Puslinch.
